Global Category Manager Power Semiconductors is responsible to identify, select, qualify, and continuously develop the best supply base through the total cost of ownership (TCO) to exceed the internal and external superior customer experience on global level. They also have the responsibility, in their own responsible area, to meet or exceed all the division business targets, and secure the execution of all division strategic initiatives by developing supportive strategy and actions. In addition, the role’s responsibility area included coordination and alignment of the category team members, located into different local divisions. The Global Category Manager Power Semiconductors has strong commitment to develop the business in the long run, in close co-operation with suppliers, R&D, operations, PE&Q and other functions that satisfy both the daily operative needs and long-term business needs to the division.

Your responsibilities

• Category strategy and actions follow up with global and local teams, ensuring supply resilience and business continuity. Ensures all relevant parties understand and commit to the category strategy and execute processes accordingly.
• Accountable for the division performances (cost, quality, delivery, and sustainability) for its own category.
• Lead the Power Semiconductors global team (dotted line leadership).
• Suppliers’ selection and suppliers’ development in close collaborations with the category team and other departments such as R&D, PE&Q and Operations.
• Manages planning and tracking of procurement activities, cost budgets, emerging country spending and savings forecasts. Minimizes risk regarding quality and financial exposure by buying in accordance with quality and commercial procedures and in accordance with Company guidelines.
• Negotiates agreements with main suppliers, and periodically renews price lists, terms, and conditions.
• Adapts corporate contractual framework to the local business needs. Recommends frame agreements to management and executes upon approval. Provides ongoing oversight and contract management with suppliers.
• Manage escalations, task forces and special projects, ensuring update to the management though comprehensive reports.
• Develop processes, tools, analytics, dashboards relevant to the assigned category supported by SCM Development team members.
• Share best practices globally inside of SCM team and colleagues, guides, motivates and develops direct and indirect subordinates within company excellence guidelines (knowledge management, functional training, etc.)

• Master of Science in Engineering or Economics.
• Demonstrated experience in sourcing and category management.
• Sound knowledge of Power Semiconductors.
• Excellent leadership, communication, and negotiation skills.
• Collaborative with suppliers, with internal and external customers.
